Numerical taxonomic methods were applied to classify 18 dwarf rice cultivars, grown in two environments characterized by high fertility, N100 P50 K50, and low fertility, N50 P25 K25. The results were summarized as a correlation phenogram. The grouping of cultivars into clusters satisfactorily matched the grouping based on pedigree. The clustering pattern was remarkably little affected by the two fertility environments.
