instead of:

These pattern of protein synthesis. Unlike castor bean those observed after precocious maturation and subsequent rehydration of castor bean (Kermode and Bewley, 1985a, b, 1986), and within axes of Phaseolus vulgaris L. seeds (Dasgupta and Bewley, 1982).
