Priming and thermal response of squirreltail seeds
Squirreltail is a high priority species for restoration of degraded rangelands in the western United States. Hardegree et al. (pp. 311-319) primed squirreltail seeds to determine the extent to which their germination could be enhanced. Primed seeds germinated 4-8 d sooner than non-primed seeds in a cold temperature test environment.
