Cover illustration: The inset photograph is of flowers of Sparaxis elegans from the Greater Cape Floral Region, South Africa. This species is pollinated by beetles, a deviation from their usual preference for dull flowers with an unpleasant scent. Monkey beetles are attracted to S. elegans because of conspicuous dark markings set against a brightly coloured background. See van Kleunen et al. pp. 1483-1489.
