Cover illustration: The cover inset shows a balloon-shaped funnel revolver flower of Caiophora chuquitensis from the High Andes. Nectar characters and floral morphology indicate it is hummingbird-pollinated. Within the monophyletic Loasa-Caiophora clade, switches from short-tongued bee- to hummingbird-pollination appear to have taken place over time. See Ackermann and Weigend (pp. 503–514).
